Important Dates

  • Abstract submission opening: December 11, 2024
  • Abstract submission deadline: March 1st, 2025 included – Midnight (CET – UTC+1)
  • Authors notification: Early April, 2025

Eligibility

Submitting an abstract does not register you for ISRS CNS SUMMIT 2025.
Once accepted, you will need to register to the ISRS CNS Summit to present your abstract.

Restrictions

All abstracts must be submitted in English.

Who’s Who?

  1. The submitter’s account will receive the acceptance(s) and schedule documents.
  2. The presenter (who needs to be registered to the congress) will receive the certificate of presentation of the poster(s) / presentations listed on his/her account.
  3. The first author will be posted first on the authors’ list.

1. Prepare Your Abstract

Abstracts and supporting documents must be submitted in English and should report on results of truly original research in Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) and related Focal Therapies that have not been published whole or in part elsewhere. The proposal will be reviewed according to the scientific content and ethical considerations.

Preparation and style

• Typefaces that resemble script should not be used
• Abbreviations are strongly discouraged, except those which are widely used or contribute to better comprehension of the manuscript
• Acronyms should be spelled out at first mention
• Metric system (SI) units should be used
• Topic of communication topic (see list below) and field of research should be indicated

Step 1: Prepare all the information about your abstract

Your abstract must contain:

  • A title
  • A list of authors with their affiliations. Please identify the first author and the speaker
  • A topic
  • A list of 3 key words
  • The main text of the abstract, in English

Step 2: Type of communication

The format of this new ISRS event will allow for abstracts presentation in poster format only, and we encourage you to share your experience and present your research during this unique in-depth meeting. All topics related to SRS, SBRT and other focal therapies for cranial and spinal conditions are welcome.

Step 3: Title

  • The title must be in lowercase with a capital at the beginning
  • Do not use small capitals or capitals in the title
  • Do not use asterisks or notes
  • Your title must be on a single line (not more than 30 words)

Step 4: Authors

You must:

  • Create the list of your authors before submitting your abstracts
  • Select the authors for each abstract and attach them to the abstract authors’ list
  • Manage their order (initially the authors are in an alphabetical order)
  • Select the speaker/presenter
  • Select the first author

Step 5: Text

  • Do not insert any image or table in the abstract you submit online
  • Your abstract must not exceed 400 words (the system will not allow more)
  • You should prepare the whole content of your abstract in an editor (Word, TextEdit, …)
  • You can use all classic fonts because the text will automatically be formatted when submitted
  • We strongly recommend that you do not use any Greek letters but their plain counterparts: “Delta” instead of “Δ “, etc… (alpha, beta, gamma, …)

Step 6: Attachment

You can upload figures and tables in a single PDF file you may upload at the end of the form. This document shall have a half A4 size maximum.

Step 7: Validation and submission

Initially, the abstracts are registered under a “Draft” status. You can then take your time before submitting it. Only abstracts with a “Submitted” status will be forwarded to the Scientific Committee. After clicking “Submit“, you will receive a confirmation of your submission by email.

Account

In order to register and submit abstracts you will first need to:

• Login to your ISRS account if you are an existing ISRS member
• Create your ISRS profile if you are not a current ISRS member
• Join ISRS as a member to have Summit discounts and other member benefits

Once completed, you are automatically ready to register and/or submit an abstract for the Summit.

Please note: Your abstract will only be forwarded to the Scientific Committee for reviewing once you have submitted it. Initially your abstract will be in ‘Draft’ status. To submit it, be sure to click on the green arrow next to your abstract’s title. The status has to be ‘Submitted’.
